I write to you today with a heavy heart. The decision I'm about to share has not been easy. I hope I can count on your understanding and support, as they have always been a cornerstone of our journey together.
For the past four years, I've proudly held the price of my compositions at $2 per copy, a commitment I made to make music accessible to everyone. However, the tides of change are unavoidable, and with a deep sense of regret, I must inform you that, starting January 1, 2024, the price will need to be adjusted to $2.37 per copy.
This increase, though modest, weighs heavily on me. There are many cases in which teachers approach me saying that they are juggling the budget. Yet, it's a necessary step to continue offering the quality and support you've come to expect. Each piece will still include the QR code with study materials, and I remain dedicated to offering my support for your rehearsals at no extra cost.
There's a silver lining in this cloud. This change means that all pieces co-written with
Tony Silvestri will contribute more significantly to his lengthy recovery process. Sales from "I Will Dream With You" will keep supporting dog rescue organizations, a testament to our shared values. And yes, there will be new titles for choir and orchestra on the horizon, bringing fresh inspiration to our community.
Resisting inflation was a battle I fought for as long as possible, but I hope this adjustment, made with a view to sustain our shared musical journey, will be seen as a necessary step. I believe, in offering our continued support and assistance, we're not just sharing music; we're sharing a part of ourselves with the future generation.
