The piece I dedicated to the loss of my great friend. Anthony Silvestri worked his magic.

  • Today is a very special day for me because one of the most emotional and significant works in my repertoire, "I Will Dream With You," is premiering. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to T.J. Harper and the Loyola Marymount University Concert Choir for bringing this piece to life in such a sublime and beautiful way.

This piece holds a very special place in my heart and I am grateful for this rendition. I wrote this piece in memory of my faithful canine companion Ruperto, who passed away on May 14th, 2020. He was one of the beings I have loved and enjoyed the most in my life. It is a tribute to his loyalty, unconditional love, and constant presence in my life.

I thank my great friend Charles Anthony Silvestri again and again for putting words to my feelings, for sharing his gift and sensitivity with us. I am constantly amazed by his kindness, friendship, and talent. None of this would have been possible without Bill Perrot, Julian Bryson, and Brian J. Winnie, who commissioned and made possible this special and emotional initiative.

But above all, I want to thank the mothers of this piece, the great heroines who without a second thought have supported and sponsored its creation. Thanks to them, this piece exists today. Your generosity and support have been essential for this work to become a reality and reach the hearts of so many people. Thanks Marti Dawson, Carpenter Family, Elaine Farrar Kondrat, Howard Dawson, Kirsten Goulde, Martha Catheleen Dawson and Shirley Butterworth

If you allow me, I want to dedicate this version and this post to our great friend and patron of many of my works, Christine Crofut Carpenter, who has recently lost her mother. I hope that at some point she can find comfort and relief by listening to this piece on Mother's Day.

Thanks again to everyone who has made this dream possible. I hope this piece touches your hearts and makes you feel the same emotion and love that I felt when writing it. Thank you for reading this entire post, this experience really showed me the most loving side of human beings.
