Don´t you like to sing at a new Choir Festival and Competition in Portugal? So why don´t you join us in Fundão,Portugal and compete nearby historic villages and castles that defended the nation's borders, why not share your voice close to mountains and crystal clear waters, river beaches and forests?
With the 1.Beira Interior Choir Competition & Festival meeting music is organising an international choral event in the southwest of Europe. From 8th to 12th October 2014 choirs are invited to join Competition Categories like Mixed, Male, Female and Chamber Choirs, Children & Youth Choirs, Sacred Choral Music, Folklore, Gospel, Pop & Modern.
Sing for Golden Diplomas and Awards for the Category Winners and Golden, Silver and Bronze Diplomasfor all the other competing choirs. Sing for the Grand Prize and seize BEIRA Grand Prize of 3.000 € for your choir!
“Being a choir director and a music lover, as well as president of the Cultural Association of Beira Interior, I took part to several choir competitions and music festivals in my life. Some of them gave me my best musical memories ever, to take back home! I always wished to see this happen in my home country.
And when I decided to organize such an event, I already knew with whom I could turn this vision into reality: Piroska Horváth, Gábor Hollerung, Aurelio Porfiri were in the organizing team of many of the best events I took part to.
