For the lovers of culture and/or food, the first thing that comes to mind when hearing the name Fundão is - the cherries!
Fundão is not only the name of the town but of its own deliciously sweet cherry brand as well. Harvested in June, these cherries pile up at the stalls of not only the local market but all around the country of Portugal; and the people of Fundão use a high degree of creativity to include the cherries in all kinds of food and drink recipes.

Beira Interior International Choir Festival & Competition,
you will have the chance to bring home a different kind of cherry too: a cherry-shaped trophy from our competition! (At least we hope that the trophy will have the same nice look ;) )
