Per musicam ad humanitatem concert - the Grand Opening

  • On the first day of PER MUSICAM AD ASTRA, June 18 at 8 pm, the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Toruń will be the official venue for this year's Opening Concert. “Per musicam ad humanitatem” you will be listening to Lacrimosa by Aleksandra Brejza as well as Song of the Universal and Sunrise Mass by a young Norwegian composer, Ola Gjeilo performed by Capella Bydgostiensis Chamber Orchestra, Astrolabium Choir and Robert Matusiak (piano). The conductor of this evening concert is Kinga Litowska, one of the artistic directors of the Festival.

    The pieces express the creation of the world, including the beauty of nature and the lifecycle of the man from the birth to the final ending.

     

    For the complex concert experience a special visual effects of unique collection of photos will follow the music. The concert is organized under the patronage of the Mayor of the City of Toruń, Michał Zaleski as an opening ceremony of the common festival of “Astrolabium” Society of Choral Music Enthusiasts and the German meeting music agency.
