Comprised of more than 20 experienced singers. All have a wealth of vocal experience. Many have sung in barbershop choruses and quartets. Others have strong choral backgrounds.

With an international cast of singers we are a living proof that true musical beauty and wisdom know no borders - neither national nor spiritual. Under its dynamic and energetic conductor, Ian Allan, the choir gives two regular concerts, usually at Christmas and in the Summer, and also takes part in the Mary Wakefield Festival in Kendal. In addition, rehearsals are taken by the deputy conductor, Tracie Penwarden, who is not only one of the region's leading sopranos but a superb choir trainer to boot. With the addition of David Edmonds as their accompanist, Arnside Choral Society benefits from the expertise of three professionals, each with different specialisms. Rehearsals take place at Arnside's WI Hall in orchard Road on Tuesdays at 7.30 and we offer a very warm welcome to anybody wishing to join us in singing a variety of styles. Our musical director and conductor is one of the best most appreciated musicians in Israel ,he has a lot of experience and all our repertoire consists of his very special arrangements. Our repertoire consists of various musical styles : Israeli folk classics, Translated international songs by the Beatles and others, Gospels, A Cappella pieces. The choir participated in Radio and T.V shows , and in choir competitions, and is highly regarded as one of the best amateur choirs in Israel.  less
