Butial through...  moreThe Salinlahi Serenata Singers or fondly called SaSeSi is the official and resident choral Ensemble of Bulihan Integrated National High School in Silang, Cavite. It was established on July 2013 by music educator and conductor Mr. Aristeo B. Butial through the help of their principal Mr. Willy D. Federico and head teacher of MAPEH Department Mr. Emeterio S. Vargas Jr. It became one of the pillars of performing arts in the said school promoting culture and arts through choral music. In 2015, when the Special Program in the Arts established, the group was tied up in order to utilize and serve as training ground for students majoring music with an emphasis in voice performance. Presently, the program is supervised by Mr. Ranier R. Gaspar as program coordinator. The Ensemble, directed by Jason Asbury, is a community chorus based in Brooklyn Heights. The 75-member Ensemble meets in Brooklyn and is made up of neighbors who range in skill from semi-professional to newbies! The group has achieved an impressive reputation of excellence, having been chosen each of the last twenty years to perform at conventions or festivals around the country: the Pennsylvania Music Educators State Conference; the Eastern Division Music Educators National Conference; the Music Educators National Convention; the American Choral Directors Association Pennsylvania State Conference, and the ACDA Eastern Division Convention. The choir is renowned on the international stage as well, representing the US at competitions and festivals around the world. The members of the Ensemble are all amateurs and have the same ideal that their performance can touch the heart of every audience through their well-trained voices. Their repertoires include folk songs, classical songs, musical pieces, pops, and premiere works by renowned composers. In March 2011, Plaisir Ensembe achieved a great success in the “1st Vietnam International Choir Festival and Competition” organized by the INTERKULTUR. They won the Gold Diploma, the Category Winner as well as the Overall Winner of Chamber Choirs. The Ensemble is one of the Top 50 Female Choirs in the Musica Mundi World Ranking List.  less
