With their voices as the only musical instrument, Latvian Voices have developed a unique individual vocal style, in which intonations from ethnic music of many nations intertwine. Majority of the repertoire is arranged and composed by the members of the group, most of all by Laura Jēkabsone. The repertoire of Latvian Voices is wide: from Latvian folk songs and original compositions with lyrics from Latvian traditional folklore to examples of Classical music in inventive transcriptions. The concerts are usually enriched with arranged melodies of popular and worldwide known songs as well as modern original compositions by Latvian Voices.  less

The choir is in residence at the prestigious Théâtre du Châtelet right in the heart of Paris France. Directed by the American Choral Conductor Scott Alan Prouty, they give concerts throughout France, and have often been used as the model choir for schools throughout France. The choir is known for the variety of it's repertoire going from classical music to french songs to Broadway show numbers.

En l'an de grâce 880, au lieu dit Montserrat en Espagne, à la tombée de la nuit, des bergers virent descendre du ciel une puissante lumière… C'est la lumière solaire qui donne vie au vitrail avec ses variations d'intensité du lever au coucher du soleil. Le verre quant à lui a été : obsidienne, verre volcanique naturel ; tectite ou fragment de roche fondu et expulsé en dehors du cratère lors de l'impact d'une météorite ; fulgurite enfin ou " pierre de foudre " produit par les impacts de foudre sur une roche...    less
