Gospel choir is based in Essex, but occasionally strays beyond! Celebrating our tenth anniversary in 2013, the choir was formed in 2003 after director Jen and accompanist Jane were missing taking part in music, having left university. Starting well, with about 15 members the choir has fluctuated in size, settling early on into a choir of 8. In 2010 however, the choir doubled in size and we are pleased that this core of almost 20 people has stuck! choir members range from 7 years old to 77! We are a sociable bunch with an emphasis on singing for fun. We don’t put people through an audition and being able to read music isn’t necessary. A good third of the choir don't read music. Being able to sing in tune is an advantage though! We have performed at weddings and parties across Essex and Suffolk, for the Women's Institute, local churches, at fetes, town open nights and charity concerts at the Mercury, Headgate and Towngate theatres. Cunninghame choir is an amateur choir based at Beith Community Centre, N. Ayrshire. We perform 2 concerts a year and cover a wide range of choral genres.

We sing music from the early 1900's through to more modern songs such as Billy Joel, The Rat Pack etc. The chorus focuses on improving singing techniques and making chords "ring" while at the same time simply having fun. We love it when a 4 part chord is correctly tuned and the chord just locks together and harmonics (or overtones) ring out loud and strong. We compete every year in local contest as a mean of measuring our progress against similar groups but we just love to perform for the public and so our contest activities are very well balanced with public performance. We also have a great time together as one of our goals is to provide a place where men can gather and enjoy their interest in singing. Their goal is to sing different styles of music and work with various other groups, present high quality musical projects, as well as take part in competitions and festivals in Lithuania and abroad. On December 1, 2013, Bel Canto choir Vilnius rocked the country’s choral music scene and accomplished unthinkable. During the fourth year of its existence, the choir won the Lithuania’s major National Choral Competition, thus becoming the best volunteer choir in the country.
