Several months previous, a number of likeminded individuals began to visualise The formation of a Male Choir for The Lower Llynfi Valley, something which this area of The County Borough of Bridgend, South Wales lacked. Following lengthy discussions with a number of experienced and well respected Choristers, we came up with some basic philosophies. • Keep The choir to a manageable size • Take our music to The community-at-large • Establish ourselves as a quality musical group • Encourage less experienced Choristers to grow in ability and musicality • Share our joy in singing One thing was fundamental, and that was to keep The choir `Ego-Free` Their mantra being ‘Leave your Egos at The door as it’s The music that matters’.
