Imagine your choir has been rehearsing for months. The tuning is flawless, the dynamics are exquisite. But on the day of the concert, you decide to turn off the stage lights and sing behind a thick, old curtain. The audience can barely see you, they can barely connect.
Sounds absurd, right? No conductor would ever do that in a concert hall.
However, after visiting 24 countries and working with hundreds of conductors, I realized that this is exactly what most choirs are doing online.
I’ve seen choirs that sound like angels, but their websites look like they were built in 1998, or worse, they rely solely on messy social media profiles. When a potential sponsor, a singer looking to audition, or a festival programmer visits that site, the subconscious message is immediate: "This choir is not professional."
And that is the hidden cost. It's not just about aesthetics.
I used to make this mistake too. As a composer, I thought that if my music was good, the website didn't matter much. Until I met Flor.
Flor is my fiancée and a UX/UI Design expert (User Experience). She redesigned my personal website. She didn't just make it "pretty", she made it functional. She structured the information thinking about the person reading it.
The result? That month, I generated $5,200 USD more than I did the same month the previous year.
It was the exact same repertoire I had offered before. I simply presented it on a worthy digital stage. People understood the value of my work and felt secure enough to buy.
At that moment, I thought: "If every choir had this level of digital infrastructure, our entire ecosystem would grow." If choirs sell more tickets and secure more funding, they can commission more works, tour more often, and pay their directors better.
I mentioned this to Flor, and her answer was immediate: "Let's do it. I bring the tech, you bring the choral knowledge."
That’s how Choir Web Design was born. We are not a generic agency selling websites to dentists and restaurants. We are a team that understands what a bass section is, what a season subscription means, and why a clear "Support Us" page is vital.
Before I invite you to see our work, I want to be clear: I am not putting down my pen. Composing is my life and my main purpose.
I see this project not as a distraction, but as a contribution to the community I love. I will be here writing music as always, but now I also have a trusted team ready to help your choir shine online. I want you to succeed so we can all keep making music together.
You don't have to hire me to improve today. In fact, I want you to walk away with something valuable right now.
My team and I prepared a Free Checklist with the 12 essential elements every choir website needs to turn visitors into an audience.
