We are open to all singers with no auditions and previous experience of contemporary music is not needed. We work mainly, though not exclusively, from music, some of which is unconventionally notated. Most of our work is a capella and The focus is on ensemble singing. One objective is to expand The contemporary amateur vocal repertoire, which is less developed than The instrumental repertoire. As this piece was meant to represent The early beginnings of human civilization ...  moreAs part of The Vocal Art Ensemble's May 2011 Concert "Cloudburst--Sounds of Nature" is "Tres Cantos Nativos", a collection of three Krao Indian songs arranged by Marco Leite. As this piece was meant to represent The early beginnings of human civilization and The birth of language, we have staged The piece in a somewhat tribal way and added jungle sound effects.
