We encourage choral singing for all ages and abilities, including those who have never sung in Choirs before as well as very experienced singers. We perform a wide range of music throughout the year and we're committed to contributing to the cultural life of our area. There is no need to audition, just to love singing! Our musical director is Rupert Gill.  

Membership is open to men and women (including High School and College students) of all ages who enjoy singing. New members are always welcome. No auditions required though our director may ask you to sing to verify your placement in the correct Voice r...  more Membership is open to men and women (including High School and College students) of all ages who enjoy singing. New members are always welcome. No auditions required though our director may ask you to sing to verify your placement in the correct Voice range. See the Bulletin Board for details. GGCC generally performs at least two concerts per year, a Winter/Christmas Concert in December and a Spring Concert.

The Richmond Singers is a 55 Voice women’s Choir which began performing in 1971. Our purpose is “to sing, in harmony, a variety of music for the enjoyment of the members as well as to give public and private performances for the listening pleasure of othe...  moreThe Richmond Singers is a 55 Voice women’s Choir which began performing in 1971. Our purpose is “to sing, in harmony, a variety of music for the enjoyment of the members as well as to give public and private performances for the listening pleasure of others”. During our musical season (September – June), the Choir practices on Monday evenings from 7 – 9:30 PM at Broadmoor Baptist Church in Richmond. In addition to our weekly practices we usually plan one or two workshops with a choral clinician, as well as evenings with guest directors. We have two major performances per year, a Family Christmas Concert in December and a Spring Concert in May. We are very involved with our community and, by giving benefit concerts, help to raise funds for other organizations such as the Richmond Hospice Society, Canadian Cancer Foundation and Tim Horton’s Kids Camps. Paralia is a touristic seaside village situated on the west coast of the Thermaic Gulf and in the shadow of Olympus. The Festival has two parts: competitive and non-competitive. However, the character and the main concept of both parts is joining music, vacation, friendship and fun. The idea of the Festival is to bring the music closer to the people and to present the music on the streets and the squares of Paralia, Olympic Beach and Katerini. All Choir ensembles, regardless of the members’ gender and age can apply for participation at the Festival.  less

ICanto’s repertoire is eighty percent a capella and the Choir interpretes all genres of Classical Music, from ancient to modern as well as rearranged traditional Malagasy music.
