Over the years it has taken in thousands of singing students and graduates of University of Warsaw and other Warsaw's universities. In 2011 the Choir celebrated its 90th anniversary. The current conductor is Irina Bogdanovich. Choir's forte always were a cappella performances - claim acknowledged with numerous awards, most recenly - third place at the international Busan Choral Festival and Competition in 2014 and Grand Prix at the most prestigious Polish Choir tournament Legnica Cantat in 2011. Apart from a cappella works, Choir perfoms both vocal and orchestral masterpieces such as Verdi's and Mozart's Requiem, Stabat Mater by Dvorak, Poulenc and Szymanowski, Beethoven's 9th Symphony or even J. S. Bach's Mass in h-minor widely regarded as the greatest and most demanding choral piece of all time. The Choir’s performance is sometimes a cappella, while at other times accompanied by a jazz trio or piano. Sectional rehearsals are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays (11 to 11:50AM).

The Choir has worked with the Israeli Chamber orchestra, the Ensemble Barrocade and has had the honor of hosting some of Israel’s finest young singers as well as special guests from abroad.  less

In the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning ...  moreIn the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning 2 more gold medals in 'Grand Prix of Choral Music' the champions competed in, the Choir has come back to Turkey with a total of 5 gold medals.
