In it, Dromgoole tells the story of an old man who approaches a deep and wide water-filled chasm. He crosses in the evening as he is unafraid, then builds a bridge to span the tide. A fellow pilgrim questions why an old man would build the bridge, as he would surely never pass this way again in his lifetime. The old man lifts his grey head and responds to the questioning traveler that a youth is to follow after him. He too, would need to cross in the twilight dim. The old man answers, “I am building this bridge for him.” The commission process was an interesting and fascinating one in which to be involved. Dr. Dickau was originally approached a year or so ago by the Chorale, and was inter...    less

The Choir was initially created to unite students with a shared interest in praising the Lord through song. Soon, however, the weekly choir rehearsals became not only a meeting place, but also a refuge for those looking for a non-threatening and empowering environment. Over the years, the Choir has grown to include members of all races and Christian denominations, and celebrates not only the diversity of its members, but also that of its audiences. UTGC has burst onto the international scene, while continuing to serve the greater Toronto community in local Concerts and University events held throughout the year, like their community Christmas Concert, and May's Gospelfest. In the past, the Choir has also participated in the annual "The Colours of Christmas" Concert as the guest of top international recording artists, such as Peabo Bryson, Roberta Flack, and Jon Se...    less
