Comprising forty highly skilled and experienced choristers, the choir is dedicated to recording and performing the compositions of their conductor, Franco Prinsloo. Born in 1987, Prinsloo is a world-renowned composer whose innovative works have significantly enriched the cultural landscape of South Africa. The choir’s mission is to serve as the instrument through which Prinsloo’s music comes to life, maintaining a highly professional standard in all their endeavors. Under Prinsloo’s visionary leadership, the Vox Chamber Choir has achieved remarkable success. Founded by a group of choral music lovers in 2002, KCC has leaded the choral music community to an unceasingly advancement in southern Taiwan. KCC performs a vast selection of local and international repertoires, female or male choral work, a cappella pieces, contemporary Chamber choir music, and newly commissioned compositions in its semi annual concerts and other occasions. KCC’s active presence on stages has brought several acclaimed rewards from private and public offices. Under the leadership of the current Artistic Director, Dr. Chia-fen Weng, KCC launched the Elite Workshop to further expand the choir’s caliber in 2007. This program recruited a few young talented singers to act as voice teachers in the choir, such as Hua-chen Liang, Je-jium Chan and Ying-jen Yao, and offers music theory, body movement and dancing lessons to its members as part of this Elite Workshop program. We meet at the Las Claras Centre in Los Narejos, Los Alcázares, Murcia, Spain every Thursday. If you would like to visit one of our rehearsals, we'd love to see you. ABOUT THE CHOIR: Since 2009, the CWU Chamber choir has held annual recording sessions to create videos specifically designed for YouTube. All are under the baton of Dr. Gary A. Weidenaar, who has been the director of the choir since 2006. As of Fall, 2016; there are 26 videos.
