Founded in November 2015, the Choir aims to feature the best of Filipino Choral Artistry while providing opportunities for its members to develop their talents. The Group performs a wide range of repertoire that spans from Classical, Contemporary and Sacred scores to Folk, Secular and Popular music.
In July 29 - August 01 2025, DCS marked a milestone as it embarked on its fifth international tour to the Taipei International Choir Competition held at Soochow University in Taipei, Taiwan. This tour was the first under the leadership of the current president and served as a heartfelt tribute to DCS’s inaugural international tour—timed perfectly with the group’s 10th anniversary. With renewed spirit and deep pride, the choir honored a decade of excellence through powerful performances that showcased their growth and unity.
Competing in the Mixed Choir and Musica Sacra categories, DCS continued its golden streak by bringing home Gold Awards in both categories. These victories were more than just medals—they were a celebration of the ensemble’s enduring passion, hard work, and the unbreakable bond shared by its members. As DCS looks ahead to the future, this tour stands as a defining chapter in its journey—both a tribute to its roots and a promise of what’s still to come.
In August 2023, DCS set out on its fourth international tour, competing in the Bali International Choral Festival in Bali, Indonesia. The group advanced to the championship round, beating several other choirs upon its enlistment. This was made possible by years of honing the group's craft and training. DCS won two gold medals in the championship round, one each in Musica Sacra and Mixed Choir.
In October 2019, DCS bagged the 2nd Prize award in the Classical and Mixed Choir Category in Busan International Choral Festival held in Busan South Korea, besting other remarkable choirs from the Asia Pacific. The competition was adjudicated by esteemed juries from Asia, America and Europe.
In July 2018, DCS was also awarded as the Winner of the Mixed Choir Category of the Orientale Concentus International Choral Festival held in the School of the Arts, Singapore. The group was also graded with 2 additional Gold Diplomas in the Chamber Choir and Folklore Categories. From the roster of 32 choir representatives from various countries across the globe, DCS earned a spot in the Top 7 choirs who performed in the Grand prix finals in the celebrated Esplanade Concert Hall in Singapore.
In December 2017, DCS also garnered 3 Gold Diplomas in the Mixed and Chamber Choir and Folklore categories in A Voyage of Songs International Choral Festival held in Tao Yuan, Taiwan.
In addition to the Group’s stints in the International Choral Stage, DCS maintains a very active calendar of workshops for other choirs, performances in various events, concerts and Choral festivals. The Choir is also active in embarking on Goodwill concerts and outreach tours in the different provinces of the Philippines as a testament to its commitment to its social responsibilities. less
