However, he managed to leave a lot of song harmonizations and a ...  more Aghias Triados Children's Choir was established in 1967 by a talented young musician, Theodore Papakonstantinou (1948-1969), who had time only to install the foundations of the Choir. However, he managed to leave a lot of song harmonizations and a significant Mass, which is sung by the choir in the Aghias Triados church of Thessaloniki. From 1969 till now, the Choir continues its work successfully having as its director his elder brother Vassilis Papakonstantinou, with whom it has given many concerts in more than fifty cities in Greece and aboard, as well. It has visited Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerlandn, Hungary, Czech, Bulgaria, France etc. It has won first prices and gold metals in choir competitions. One of the most important parts of Aghias Triados Children's Choir's history is its participation with European Union Youth Orchestra and Vienna's Youth Choir, to the performance (Athens, 1985) of the third Symphony of Leonard Bernstein under the direction of the composer.  less

Intended to chronicle the evolution of Earth's creatures, this piece shows the utter joy of a toad hopping around his kingdom on our green planet. The women dance and the men join in with percussion and 'toad calls'.

For years, the ensemble has used an arrangement of Irish Blessing to welcome new members and bid farewell to graduating seniors. After nearly two decades of performing the same version, my former high school director, Matt Wanner, reached out to me in 2026 with the opportunity to create a new arrangement of this cherished tradition. In writing this setting, I sought to create something both accessible and meaningful, while providing opportunities to feature students, whether graduating seniors or gifted soloists, in a special way. It is my hope that this arrangement will become a meaningful part of the ensemble’s tradition and hold a special place in the hearts of its members for many years to come.  less
