With an international cast of singers we are a living proof that true musical beauty and wisdom know no borders - neither national nor spiritual. Veda Slovena Bulgarian Choir were chosen Choir of the Day at the Croydon audition round of Choir of the Year 2014 and performed successful concerts at Brandenburg Choral Festival, International Sangerstevne Choral Festival, The Convent in Stroud, as well as at popular club nights (Up...    less

The choir is famous for its amazingly rich collection of fourty-two prizes and awards of different international choir competitions. The years of 2006 and 2008 were particularly successful for the group, as the 4th Choir Olympics in China and the 5th Choir Olympics in Austria brought twice the Olympic Championship of All-Male Choirs to Pécs. In 2014, the Pécs men fascinated the jury and audience again – resulting an absolute first prize in the Beijing International Competition for Choirs. As a result of the high artistic reputation, the chorus has been invited to make tours in Europe as well as in the US, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and China. The double CD of Choral Works for male voices by Zoltán Kodály was issued in 2010, as a world-premiere. The following year focused on bicentenary of the significant composer of the 19th century, Erkel Ferenc, resulting a further CD, with the male ch...    less

Despite the lively melody, the lyrics tell a story of longing and heartache, creating a mix of emotions that resonates with both joy and sorrow. Ne vous fiez pas à l'apparente gaîté de sa mélodie : il s'agit bien là d'une supplique à l'être aimé, où l'espoir d'un éventuel retour dispute sa place à l'amertume de l'abandon. Conducted by Jad Harjane Composed by John Dowland Filmed by DIAZ PRODUCTION at LADABATEK , Tangier Sponsored by THE AMERICAN LANGUAGE CENTER  less
