How I wrote the composition Hope to process a miscarriage, or how I wrote I Will Lift My Eyes at a time when multiple family members, both young and old, were being diagnosed with cancer. No matter life’s challenges, music has always been an outlet for me to cope and heal. It has helped me to persevere and fight through some of life's most difficult moments, ultimately making me a stronger person. The world can be a challenging place, but each of us are warriors—armed with the gift to sing, and filled with the fire, passion, drive, and grit to conquer anything. For the past 18 years, TMC has provided and expanded access to great gospel music and gospel music education in Canada by a hard-working team of volunteers. We are looking forward to the excitement, the networking, the music and so many uplifting and engaging experiences! The past almost two years have indeed been challenging for our world but there have been some benefits—one of them has been the ability to expand our reach by putting PowerUp online in 2021! We sing most types of choral music, and have occasionally dipped our toes into both jazz and folk repertoire.
