Our Singing in the Pub sessions are on the third ThursDay of every second month. At the next one we'll be learning a whole song in 2/3 part harmony in 90 minutes then jamming it with a live guitarist! Grab your friends, a drink and let's sing some sparkly tunes....The songs will be a surprise - that's part of the fun! With drinks deals at the bar - we'll have the happiest of happy hours! Everyone is welcome - everyone can sing - even the friend who insists they can't, they can! Pub singing is all about fun! No experience necessary just bring your voice and we’ll do the rest - shower singers, this is for you! 7.30pm - Arrive and drinks, 8pm - We Sing! £7 advance (plus 70p booking fee) on Meetup - Soul of the City Choir, £9 on the door Tickets sold quickly last time so we do recommend nabbing your ticket early just in case we can't fit you in on the door. The Musical Director has, since 2013, been Dominic Ellis-Peckham. We foster a friendly and supportive environment, and have regular social activities. We're relaxed but focused when it comes to pursuing musical excellence and have a keen shared purpose in developing our individual vocal skills, and pushing ourselves with new and challenging repertoire from across the centuries and genres. Each season the choir usually promotes around six concerts in London in venues such as St James's Piccadilly and St Paul's Covent Garden, and organises two weekend tours - one in the UK, and one overseas (recent destinations include Paris, Porto and Rome); and we regularly receive external bookings.​ Past engagements have included with Pete Townshend and Alfie Boe for 'Classic Quadrophenia' at the Royal Albert Hall, and with Madonna for the Eurovision Song Contest Final in Tel Aviv.  less
