From 2001-2017 the choir was directed by jazz musician and conductor Fraser Gartshore. The current musical director is composer and conductor Stephen Harrap. We specialise in English-language Choral music, both sacred and secular. The choir performs regularly in and around Bonn and is best known for its traditional Christmas carol services and Concerts. Words & music: Anthony Sylvestre. Performance time: 4’45. The song can be performed in 2 languages versions: in English/French or in English/English. The main theme is a declaration of love. It can be sung to either a woman or a man. While the qualities of the beloved are listed in contemplative praise, the promise to be there in difficult times is made with tenderness and sincerity. As we are enveloped in this loving tranquility, the voices of the choir intensify until they reach a second theme, one that is more marked and determined. This sequence entitled ”The French Dream’, introduces us to a more mysterious and dreamlike atmosphere, straight out of our childhood fairy tales. Then, as if we had fallen asleep for a moment, the words 'BEautiful! BEautiful' resound once again, bringing us back to a reassuring reality.  less

The Major Minors Children's Choir was formed in February 2012 by Musical Director Joanne Roelofs and Karen Boyce as a one off children's choir of unauditioned primary school aged children which was part of a Choral programme with the Hutt Valley Singers. ...  moreThe Major Minors Children's Choir was formed in February 2012 by Musical Director Joanne Roelofs and Karen Boyce as a one off children's choir of unauditioned primary school aged children which was part of a Choral programme with the Hutt Valley Singers. The choir was such a success and those involved enjoyed it so much that it was decided to continue. The Choir is a training Choir with the children having opportunities to sing or speak solo lines and learn harmonies. Current members are aged between 4 and 12. The Harmonic Minors is the Major Minors Children's Choir's extension group. This is an auditioned choir for older children and teens.  less
