In Flanders Fields by John McCrae
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Prayer of St Teresa of Avila for SATB by Tim Knight
Cat. No: TKM844. A rather beautiful set of words from St Teresa of Avila (1515) set in a simple style which would make an excellent Introit or concert closer.

Harpsichordist, organist and visionary choirmaster George Malcolm was one of the leading figures in British music after the Second World War. In his early life he had been Organ Scholar of Balliol College and Choirmaster of St Mary’s, Clapham. His work at Westminster Cathedral as Master of Music for twelve years from 1947 was the stuff of legend. He carried on the great traditions he had learnt in his youth from the Jesuit Father Driscoll and Fernand Laloux, Choirmaster of Farm Street Jesuit Church in Mayfair and developed a wholly different approach to the singing of children that proved vastly influential both in his own lifetime and in the twenty years sin... etParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less

LYRICS:
Rejoice, rejoice, your light has come, rejoice!
Come every soul descending in dismay
Who dreams to overcome this darkening day,
Dispel the myths of mystery, and from these heavy chains you shall be free, Rejoice!
Rejoice, the Light is here to help you find
Some brightening of your shadow weary mind;
To clear the tears of loss and pain,
Restore you hope for life again,
Rejoice, rejoice, your healing has begun,
So dance for joy, the victory is won!
O Lift your head and do not be afraid,
Receive the gift as ransom freely paid.
Release the ones you hold in misery
And love will conquer every enemy.
Rejoice, rejoice, the Hope of Nations, call.
The Word is Love, salvation for ... etParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less
