The atmosphere in the group is very good and that enables us to really make good and warm music together. We sing a capella as well as accompanied music. Our repertoire is a mix of renaissance and contemporary music, both classical and pop.

Their stylish performances, featuring early Medieval plainchant right through to commissions of West Australian composers, have been delighting audiences and critics alike since 1995. The Consort prides itself on unearthing lesser-known early music (such as music of De Brossard, Certon, and Clereau), showcasing larger-scale choral masterpieces (Monteverdi's 1610 Vespers, various Bach Cantatas), and presenting high-quality interpretations of well-known classics (Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, Durufle's Requiem, Britten's Hymn to St. Cecilia, Allegri's Miserere and Tavener's Song for Athene). Estas canciones de cuna se cantaban principalmente para los niños menores de 6 meses, ya que se buscaban en ellos signos de enfermedad y muerte. Estas canciones de cuna han sido una forma de que la madre libere la tensión y el agotamiento. También se cantaban para alentar al niño a ser fuerte, o aunque macabro, posiblemente para decirle al niño cómo la muerte sería mejor para él en algún caso.  less
