Calalang, Jr. This speaks of an earnest call to be united under one nation - The Philippines. Performed by The Malabon Concert Singers as their chosen "maka-bayan" piece at the 5th Biñan National Choral Competition last February 3, 2022. Conducted by Mr. Anthony Go Villanueva, the choir emerged as Champion at the conclusion of the contest.

Founded in 1970 by a group of enthusiastic amateur singers, our repertoire ranges from the great classical choral works to modern contemporary pieces. Under the skilled direction of Howard Kane, who was appointed musical director in 2008, and ably assisted by Robert Woods the choir has grown in size and reputation. Rehearsals Monday nights are rehearsal nights which are held in Frodsham Methodist Church, Kingsley Rd, WA6 6BA from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. New members are welcome to come along and give us a try. We rehearse from September through to July for our four main concerts, which are held in Frodsham, and also take our music to other venues in the area. Groups of singers from within the choir are available to sing at weddings and the choir regularly puts on events to raise money for local charities.  less
