In this time the choir has participated in the Madrid Community choir contest, obtaining the first prize in 2009 and 2010, and the secón prize in 2007 and 2008 Within the choir activities, we could also mention their participation in theatre productions of the musicals Persephone and Midas by Steve Pogson, with which they obtained the first prize in the Vademorillo theatre contest. They were also awarded first prize in the Community of Madrid theatre contest, with the musical Super Jim, a play which was written specially for the choir by the British authors Steve Pogson and George Simmers. They also participate in a variety of wonderful performance opportunities, recordings and a touring program. Brisbane Birralee Voices is acknowledged on home shores and abroad as one of Australia's finest children's choirs. The program encourages young Singers to develop their vocal technique and attain musical excellence and there is a strong focus on nurturing the individual in a broader sense. We have an outdoor choir and baby/toddler friendly indoor choirs. We are welcoming, friendly and relaxed with no requirement for previous experience of the ability to read music.
