Noble, Jr. Recorded live on Friday, December 21, 2012, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Performed by the Chamber Singers ensemble of the Girl Choir of South Florida. Artistic Director: Wallis Peterson, String Bass: Cole Crossgrove. Bring a torch, Jeanette, Isabella! Bring a torch, to the cradle run It is Jesus, good folk of the village Christ is born and mother Mary is a-calling. Ah! Ah! beautiful is the Mother! Ah! Ah! beautiful is her son It is wrong while the baby is sleeping, It is wrong, don't be talking so loud. Silence, now as you gather around, Lest a sound should waken Jesus. Hush! Hush! beautiful is the Mother! Hush! Hush! beautiful is her son Softly into the manger, Softly for a moment come! Look and see how charming the baby, Look at him there, His cheeks are rosy! Hush! Hush! see how the Child is sleeping; Hush! Hush! see how he smiles in dreams!  less

Our name reflects our roots in the telephony and technology sectors as we originally formed as a workplace choir in BT’s Edinburgh offices. We’ve since grown and attracted members from outside of our workplace. Led by Aly Skidmore, our vision from the outset was to build a dynamic performance choir for amateur singers. Under Aly’s musical direction, the choir has developed rapidly and grown significantly in both quality and reputation, receiving wide acclaim. The RingTones have been booked for a wide mix of charity, showcase and corporate events such as the Scottish Rugby Union’s Annual Awards 2015, Eden Festival 2015, the BT Scotland Annual General Meeting, the Scottish Parliament, Sports Relief, the Great Scot Awards 2014. We have also staged our own fundraising performances at venues such as Waverley Train Station, John Lewis Edinburgh and Our Dynamic Earth. The choir has also organized their own, independent fundraising concerts a...    less

We train together in Vocal and choral skills as part of every session and want to explore our own sound as well as that of our choir's. We have a strong Folk influence and a variety of pieces that keep us challenged and growing. Directed and trained by singing teacher and choir coach Sandra Smith (www.singingandbreathing.co.uk) Throughout the pandemic we kept singing and did a short but very fun Homegrown Harmony project where all singers participated in a small group piece or a solo and recorded it. Max 6 singers! At Xmas we managed to get all the men together for a rousing a Wassail . SUMMER 2021 - WE ARE LOOKING FOR BASSES/BARIS TO JOIN US NOW!  less

Our mission as an ensemble is to connect with the community and each other through the exploration of quality choral music, including the promotion of women composers, within an engaging, encouraging, and intergenerational environment focused on healthy Vocal technique and artistic excellence. We encourage those with children to join us as we have a tandem youth choral program (Consonare Youth Choirs) that rehearses at the same time.  less
