Since its foundation in 2007, the Bremen based ensemble has been putting its own spin on the world of music, with interpretations that continue to surprise their audiences. Six male solists present the deep yet humorous side of vocal music. Their clarity in sound and expression, the abillity to let music speak for itself, sets them apart. Their individual artistic skills and personalities harmonize into a one of a kind ensemble! Pro Vocants musical interpretation has been well received all over, earning them a third placing at the German A cappella Contest 2012! De Heeren consists of 8 men, most of whom study at the Fontys Conservatoire in Tilburg. What sets this group apart is that is has musical as well as classical trained singers. Due to this wide variety of musical diversity of this group it allows for a broad selection of repertoire. Most of their repertoire is arranged by members of the group and offers an extensive selection of different styles.  less

The ensemble consists of approximately 24-32 vocalists selected through a voice placement process and performs traditional/advanced choral literature from all periods. Students who have been active in choral ensembles in high school or college are encouraged to audition for this choir. Auditions for Chorale can take place at anytime to fill necessary spots in the group. Once students are selected for Chorale, they are members until they choose to leave, are removed, or when they graduate. In addition to its regular concert schedule, the Chorale tours each spring (orlando, ’09; NYC, ’10; Atlanta, ’11, Boston, ’12, orlando, ’13). A yearly scholarship is offered to people who are successfully placed in the group.  less
