Intends to continue developing their vocal talent, working a v...  moreThe New Wave Chorus was created in early 2015 by Armanda Patricio. Integrates more than twenty young people between fourteen and eighteen years of age who have, in Music, a common denominator. Intends to continue developing their vocal talent, working a varied repertoire in multiple languages, styles, and four mixed voices (SATB) a cappella or in collaboration with instrumental ensembles. Has the support of the Instituto Politecnico de Castelo Branco, through the provision of space for rehearsals, on Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas de Castelo Branco (ESART). Fifteen days after its formation, the band was invited to participate in the IX Spring Concert (Covilha), with the theme "East and West", taking place on March 15, 2015. He accepted with great pleasure and it turned out a great way for bringing a greater responsibility to the original project.  less

PG Carnivalesque" under the patronage of Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdańsk Tech, attracted several hundred people who listened to daring performances of popular pop music hits. During the performance we heard choral arrangements of...  moreThe concert "ACH! PG Carnivalesque" under the patronage of Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdańsk Tech, attracted several hundred people who listened to daring performances of popular pop music hits. During the performance we heard choral arrangements of hits such as: "Dancing Queen", "Memory", "California Dreamin'" and "Maria". This time it was not Mozart or Bach, but ABBA, Queen and songs from the musical West Side Story that graced the walls of the Gdansk University of Technology in carnivalesque musical artistic creations. Jazz musicians performed along with the choir, and the musical effects were accompanied by a unique lighting arrangement, which required appropriate space and audience arrangement. The more-than-hour-long performance by the Academic Choir of the Gdańsk University of Technology, conducted by Prof. Mariusz Mróz and accompanied by musicians from the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz, ended with joint singing, encores and a standing ovation.  less

The Swingles show, supporting the release of their new album 'Ferris Wheels' features songs by the likes of Nick Drake, Bjork, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder, Sting, and Green Day, and the set also includes their customary covers of Bach and The Beatles with human beatboxing at the heart throughout.
