Joshua's music is beloved by audiences across MN and the upper-Midwest. His music fuses many styles and techniques; Ancient chant, Medieval organum, Russian orthodox liturgy, and the shimmering harmonies of modern choral Music, to name a few. Audience members often comment that Josh's music is their favorite part of a From Age to Age concert, or they will ask Josh why we didn't perform another known favorite of theirs that Josh has written. Nice's music is well suited for advanced high-school, collegiate, community and professional choirs. Joshua is accepting commissions for the upcoming 2012-2013 season. Each Choir member has a different and wide-ranging background in solo, operatic and competitive performance, which enhances the choir’s ability to undertake some of the more challenging choral works and contributes to their fresh and unique sound. The Academy Chamber Choir’s repertoire spans from early to contemporary music. Their most recent success was ranking third in “Irelands Choir of the Year” at Cork International Choral Festival 2013. They then went on to win 1st place in the Early Music, 1st place in the Irish Language and 2nd place in the Sacred Music at Navan Choral Festival 2013. They were 2nd place in RTE Lyric FM’s Choirs for Christmas Competition – Irelands largest choral competition featuring over 400 choirs.
