About Me First person to earn a Doctor’s degree (PhD) in Brazil in the area of Music Education with emphasis on Choral Practice. Graduated from the University of Brasilia - UnB- with Bachelor’s Degrees in Music Education, Composition and Conducting. With several achievements in academic life, he continued his studies (as a CAPES Scholarship - Brazilian Government Education Agency, Fulbright Commission, LASPAU and CNPq - Brazilian Government Research Agency), earning a Master's Degree in Conducting and Doctorate (PhD) in Musical Education towards to Choral Music Education. Retired Professor of Music in the area of Conducting at The Music Department of the University of Brasilia. Junker also served as Visiting Professor/Researcher at Butler University; University of Missouri; Campbelsville University and Örebro University (Sweden - for 3 times). He is cited in Who’s who Encyclopedia and was voted Educator of the Year (2007) and Top One Hundred Educators of the World (Cambridge Institute- England). His choral groups traveled through many countries around the world.
