The Songbirds of Singapore is a dynamic all-women community choir made up of members from diverse backgrounds, united by a deep passion for music and a shared belief in its power to connect and uplift.
Under the inspiring direction of renowned Musical Director Elaine Chan—a leading figure in Singapore’s music and theatre scene—the Songbirds bring energy, artistry, and heart to every performance.
We may be a non-audition choir, but don’t be fooled—we can sing. Many of our members once performed professionally before life took them in new directions. Our repertoire spans an exciting range of genres, from pop and jazz to classical, blues, country, and musical theatre—ensuring there’s something for every audience. Whether on stage or in more intimate settings, our goal is always the same: to spread joy, build community, and make a meaningful impact through song.
More than just a choir, the Songbirds are a close-knit group of friends who genuinely care for and support one another. That sense of connection extends far beyond our rehearsals and performances. We’re especially passionate about giving back—regularly singing at nursing homes, hospices, and charity events across Singapore. For us, music isn’t just performance; it’s a way to bring comfort, encouragement, and warmth to those who need it most.
