About Me
My musical path began in early elementary school, where I studied piano, and continued through high school, where I attended the theoretical program and solo singing, while also performing in a klapa ensemble. My artistic growth deepened at the Academy of Arts in Split, where I completed a Bachelor’s program in Music Education followed by a Master’s degree in Music Culture. Throughout my studies, I performed with various vocal groups and klapas, receiving several awards at regional and national competitions. I have also passed the state professional exam for music teachers.
After completing my studies, I began my career in primary education. During seven years at Šimun Kožičić Benja Elementary School in Zadar, I gained extensive experience teaching music, led the school choir and children’s klapa, and served as the project leader of the music–stage festival Benja-fest.
I am currently employed at Petar Preradović Elementary School in Zadar, where I teach Music Culture to students from grades 5 to 8 and lead the large school choir and the school klapa. My pedagogical approach emphasizes cooperation, mutual respect, and building students’ confidence through collective music-making.
My love for klapa singing stems from my family’s musical tradition, especially my late father, whose passion continues to guide and inspire my work with children and young people.
Music is my calling, my way of expression, and the place where I feel most at home.
