Le 6 avril 2002, c'est sur la scène du Théâtre National de la Criée de Marseille, qu'ils ont donné la première représentation d'un Opéra crée sur le Stabat Mater de J.B. Pergolèse. C'est ensuite en 2003 à l'Odéon de Marseille et en 2004 à Vitrolles, que cette représentation s' est poursuivie. Le choeur continue le 9 Mai 2004 avec l'interprétation du Stabat Mater à l'Abbaye St-Victor de Marseille, lieu culte de la musique sacrée. En 2008 c'est au Toursky avec l'opéra des opéras "Le Choeur des Anges" que le choeur se représente. Le consécration est enfin venue le 4 Avril 2013 avec le spectacle Operassimo représenté à l'opéra de Marseille à guichet fermé. Depuis septembre 2005 une nouvelle formation du choeur est née : ce sont les " les binjamins" . The Sydney Festival Male Voice Choir needs men who have:- * Personally accepted God's gift of salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. * A desire to serve Christ Jesus in this form of evangelism. * A love for music and singing. * The ability to attend some Choir engagements. * The ability to attend some Fridays for practice.  less

Formed in 1966, by a gentleman named Idris Parfitt due to the demise of a small local choir – The Wyllie Glee Party; Mynyddislwyn Male Choir takes its name from a local ancient parish/borough, with the design of its badge based upon a drawing of the Churc...  moreFormed in 1966, by a gentleman named Idris Parfitt due to the demise of a small local choir – The Wyllie Glee Party; Mynyddislwyn Male Choir takes its name from a local ancient parish/borough, with the design of its badge based upon a drawing of the Church at Mynyddislwyn. Idris was adamant that there should be a Male choir in the Blackwood area and so advertised his intent to the local people. His campaign received a good response and led to a meeting being held by the interested parties with the choir being formed in April of the same year. The design of the Choir's badge has changed a little since then with pupils from the local Libanus Primary School (where the choir used to rehearse) entering a competition to design the new badge which is still in use today. The Choir has travelled widely over the years performing and raising lots of money for charitable causes wherever it goes. It is a registered charity centred around the Kenfig Hill community of South Wales, UK. We also have two associated youth choirs 'Da Capo' and 'Crescendo'. The choir's history stretches back to 1896, with a few gaps. The latest incarnation was re-founded in 1972.  

One of the most historically famous Welsh Male Voice Choirs. Based in the South Wales Valley town of Merthyr Tydfil, the Choir gives regular performances.
