We are a large, dynamic and ambitious amateur choir of around 150 singers. We perform exclusively with professional orchestras and soloists, promoting concerts mainly in Guildford, but also in the major London concert halls and occasionally abroad.

We've been singing together for a number of years and have developed a relaxed, friendly style that's as much fun to listen to as it is to perform in. CoMA Voices is based in London. We meet for specific performance projects and workshops. We are open to all singers with no auditions and previous experience of contemporary music is not needed. We work mainly, though not exclusively, from music, some of ...  moreCoMA Voices is based in London. We meet for specific performance projects and workshops. We are open to all singers with no auditions and previous experience of contemporary music is not needed. We work mainly, though not exclusively, from music, some of which is unconventionally notated. Most of our work is a capella and the focus is on ensemble singing. One objective is to expand the contemporary amateur vocal repertoire, which is less developed than the instrumental repertoire. We work with composers and students, commissioning works and showcasing material for use by others.  less

We are based in Oxford and many of our younger singers have gone on to sing professionally in London. We sing a wide range of classical repertoire, from Gregorian Chant and Renaissance polyphony to contemporary works, many written by John Duggan. We have recorded two discs for The Gift of Music and give concerts in Oxford and London, as well as making regular trips to France and Italy.  

Since 2008 we have been coming together in central London to learn and perform sea-shanties, murder ballads, protest songs, work songs, love melodies, folkified non-folksongs, and good old knees-up tunes, from across the centuries and all over the world.
