Dainius DRUSKIS is the artistic director of the choir since 2014 when he took the lead of choir from professor Albinas Petrauskas, who guided the choir since its first rehersal for 42 years.
Each musical season of „LELIUMAI“ is designated to performances of choir music to the listeners in cities and towns in Lithuania, extraordinary festivals and meetings with the choirs abroad, unforgetable participation in Lithuanian Song festivals.
During its history „LELIUMAI“ has been awarded the highest titles in national choir competitions in Lithuania, has won the third prize at the international choir competition in Ireland (Cork) in 1983.
Choir performances are rich with pieces of various styles, special part of the repertoir is assigned to the contemporary Lithuanian music. Several Lithuanian artists have dedicated their compositions to LELIUMAI.
Choras „LELIUMAI“ nourishes and appreciates traditions which join singers, their family members, song lovers and professional performers. Each year on Febrary 16th LELIUMAI invites choir music listeners to the concert devoted to the State Day, it arranges traditional Christmas concert, and musical hours with participation of outstanding personalities of Lithuanian culture and politics.
„LELIUMAI“ had concerts in many countries of Europe, USA, Korea. It is nurturing cultural exchange relationships with the choirs from Denmark, Italy, Great Britain, Belgium, USA, Germany, and France and other countries. Three international festivals, named „Leliumai“, were organized in Kaunas, Lithuania. less
