But current we a...  moreThe _Linzer Singakademie_ - formerly _Sängerbund Frohsinn_ is the second oldest Choir of Austria - since 1845. Anton Bruckner was one of our conductors. Also Richard Wagner was a honor member of the choir. We are very proud of this facts. But current we are a chor, wich singing manly oratories. The last project was "Die Schöpfung" von Joseph Haydn. This days we rehearse Parts of famous masses from Beethoven, Bruckner und Mozart. These Compositions would be a part of a special concert - a workshop-concert. In german it is called a _Gesprächskonzert_. The wellknown Austrian composer _Balduin Sulzer_ will cuduct this concert. It happens at 8 of December 2012 17:00 in the Minoriten-Church in Linz.  less

The piece was written for the 50th anniversary of the Habaneras Contest in Torrevieja, Spain. The musical writing has nothing of a traditional habanera. The constant habanera rhythm is not present but must be felt as an internal rhythm. What I have included is the alternation of minor and major modes so typical of habaneras. It has given guest performances at festivals, events, and venues such as Vienna’s Konzerthaus and Musikverein, Styriarte, Osterklang Wien (Easter Music Festival, Vienna), Salzburg Festival „Pfingsten+Barock,“ Bruckner Festival, Linz, Chamber Music Festival Lockenhaus, and Music Festival Grafenegg. It also performs regularly at the Jeunesse (Musikalische Jugend Österreichs) concert series in Vienna and has formed a special partnership with this institution. In recent years, Chorus sine nomine has increasingly played international venues, among others at the Ravenna Festival, Théâtre de Champs d’Élysées, Paris, London’s Barbican Hall, and Munich Philharmonic Hall. The Oktet Suha has performed more than 1400 times in Austria and all over Europe, as well as in the USA, Australia, Ukraina, Argentina and Canada. They had lots of tv and radio appearances worldwide. Oktet Suha has released 12 CD ́s since and is the main organizer of the annual cross boarder vocal Festival Suha.
