Emendemus in melius
Emendemus in melius quae ignoranter peccavimus; ne subito praeoccupati die mortis, quaeramus spatium poenitentiae, et invenire non possimus. Attende, Domine, et miserere; quia peccavimus tibi.
Baruch, Chapter 3, Verse 2
Versus:Adjuva nos, Deus salutaris noster, et propter honorem[gloriam] nominis tui libera nos.
Psalm 78, Verse 9a
Let us amend for the better in those things in which we have sinned through ignorance;
lest suddenly overtaken by the day of death, we seek space for repentance, and be not able to find it. Hearken, O Lord, and have mercy: for we have sinned against thee.
Verse:Help us, O God of our salvation, and for the honour [glory] of thy name deliver us.
Psalm, 78, Verse 9a

Nolo mortem peccatoris; haec sunt verba Salvatoris.[I desire not the death of a sinner; these are the words of the Saviour.]
Father, I am thine only Son, sent down from heav’n mankind to save.Father, all things fulfilled and done according to thy will, I have.Father, my will now all is this: Nolo mortem peccatoris.Father, behold my painful smart, taken for man on ev’ry side;Ev'n from my birth to death most tart, no kind of pain I have denied,but suffered all, and all for this: Nolo mortem peccatoris.

We're planning to perform and record a programme of modern sacred music in the fabulous space and acoustic that is Leeds' Victoria Quarter. We are appealing to as many people as possible to participate in the project by giving whatever they would like, in return for a reward or perk. It's quite a good way of pre-ordering the CD! please visit link: http://igg.me/at/stpeterssingers
"Bring us, O Lord God, at our last awakening, into the house and gate of heaven, to enter into that gate and dwell in that house, where there shall be no darkness nor dazzling, but one equal light; no noise nor silence but one equal music; no fears nor hopes but one equal possession; no ends nor beginnings but one equal eternity; in the habitations of thy Glory and Dominion, world without end. Amen."

Ingrediente Domino in Sanctam civitatem, Hebraeorum pueri resurrectionem vitam pronunciantes,

Harpsichordist, organist and visionary choirmaster George Malcolm was one of the leading figures in British music after the Second World War. In his early life he had been Organ Scholar of Balliol College and Choirmaster of St Mary’s, Clapham. His work at Westminster Cathedral as Master of Music for twelve years from 1947 was the stuff of legend. He carried on the great traditions he had learnt in his youth from the Jesuit Father Driscoll and Fernand Laloux, Choirmaster of Farm Street Jesuit Church in Mayfair and developed a wholly different approach to the singing of children that proved vastly influential both in his own lifetime and in the twenty years sin... less
