As well as community events, The BIG Sing have hosted their own sold out shows in Essex and have many more coming up this year! Our repertoire is all original, written by choir members and has emerged as a new tribal choral tradition that honors death as a natural, expected, sometimes very inspiring event in a life. While we don't require auditions, our welcome process is rigorous. This kind of Singing is spiritual work and is deeply rewarding for those who are called to it.

This was during a workshop and was an impromptu performance so they brought her up on stage. July 2009. Oran went to an early morning workshop with Eric Whitacre during the Mondiale Choral Competition in Laval, Quebec. At the end of the workshop, an audience member requested that our choir Sing one of Eric Whitacre's pieces. We were doing Seal Lullaby for the competition, so we just jumped right into that one with Eric conducting us!!!!!!!!!!! It was pretty darn awesome! This also features Jen McMillan on piano. The piano was really close to where I was standing, so that's why it sounds super loud in this video. Sorry.  less
