We can also be seen throughout The year taking part in various community events; singing at The local Christmas grotTo, taking part in flash mobs and singing at weddings and funerals. less

Some background:
I have sung The traditional version of Good King Wenceslas since I was a kid. I fell in love with The lyrics and The sTory, but have always been puzzled by The way it was arranged, in particular The way that The "las" of Wenceslas lands on The downbeat. When I was young, I thought The lyrics were actually "Good King Wences last looked out!"
All To say that I got inspired To create a Totally different version. I used The 19th century poem by John Mason Neale, but I wanted To create a different "feel" To The sTory, To take it back in time To its origins in The Middle Ages - hence The medieval feel To much of The piece.
I also felt that since The Wenceslas sTory is all about a Journey, a setting in 3/4 time would create a better sense of that feeling, ra... less

It has grown To a higher level by achieving numerous titles within The Past few years and also recognized as The best ... moreSt. Marcellin’s Choir of Maris Stella College Negombo is a leading Choir in Sri Lanka which was started in 2007 at Maris Stella College. It has grown To a higher level by achieving numerous titles within The Past few years and also recognized as The best Tenor Bass voices from a school choir around The country. (Title gained 2014 onwards). The Choir has performed in National and International level stages (2012 Rome) and hosting many choral events in negombo including The biggest carol service in Negombo since 2007.(Maris Carols). It is trained by Mr. Francis De Almeida (Choral DirecTor) since 2004. This choir has influences some youth choirs including Speranza , etc.... And also The Past Pupils Choir (The Old Maris Choir). The Choir is still hosting many Choral Events in Negombo.
