This was written as an ironic parody response to that Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer song we sing every year! (Rudolphus Rubrinasus syndrome!) (Note: the score has a slightly more ornamented piano part than this performance)

In May, 2013, composer Ola Gjeilo spent 3 days on...  more"Ubi Caritas II: Through Infinite Ages" (Ola Gjeilo) is sung by The Central Washington University Chamber choir (Gary Weidenaar, director), with an improvised piano accompaniment played by the composer. In May, 2013, composer Ola Gjeilo spent 3 days on the Central Washington University Campus to join the choir in recording 4 of his pieces. The other three were "Sanctus", "Luminous Night of the Soul", and "Vast Eternal Skies" This performance of Gjeilo's "Ubi Caritas II" is from that session, which included a rendition of the piece sung in in its published (unaccompanied) version as well. This was Mr. Gjeilo's second time on our campus, the first was in the spring of 2011, which resulted in 5 videos and a DVD (http://goo.gl/Xld0o) As of 2013, the CWU Chamber choir also has recorded videos of the music of Byrd, Monteverdi, Muehleisen, singh, Victoria, and Rautavaara on YouTube. The Or Y-a choir is a women's choir under the direction of Nomi Teplow. The choir is comprised of women of all ages from all over Samaria in Israel who come together to sing in a variety of musical styles in close harmony, to learn to sing and to have a good time.
