The vocal Section of the Goldberg Ensemble, consisting of about 22 singers coming from various established choirs in Malta, brings together choral enthusiasts to perform primarily baroque choral music in a more exhaustive manner. The musicians too are distinguished performers in their own right who tour Europe extensively, and who are versatile on both modern and baroque instruments. The ensemble's director, Michael Laus, is the inspiration and motivator of the Goldberg Ensemble, whose harpsichord playing and conducting have been highly acclaimed by the international press.  less

Members receive specialised training in sight-singing, notation and theory, vocal technique, interpretation and repertoire and are guided individually through the Dublin Choral Foundation Training Scheme leading to bronze, silver and gold awards.

They specialise in modern Musical theatre and performance but also sing other genres including pop and gospel. The choir's music is arranged by choir leader Nicole Dawson who is a trained composer and arranger. Rehearsals are every Wednesday at 7.30pm at Priory Hall, Christchurch and the choir perform regularly all over the South Coast. New members are currently being accepted for the summer term 2016, entry is by informal, private audition. Come and join the fun!  less
