Diliup had orchestrated the Music in terms of a classical orchestra and recorded it with the vocals of old Royalist Santhush Weeraman of B&S fame and the Royal College Choir. The re-recording of the School song was an initiative taken by the Secretary RCU Manju Ariyaratne on the advice of the RCU Council together with the consent of Prinicipal Upali Gunasekra.  less

As the premiere chorale ensemble at OSU, the OSU Chamber Choir, under the direction of Dr. Steven Zielke, has garnered national attention and international awards. While touring Eastern Europe in 2001, the Choir received the Grand Prize at the Festival of Light in Bulgaria, and in April 2006, the Chamber Choir was selected as the only collegiate mixed Choir from outside of the state of Utah to perform at the 60th Music Educators National Biennial Conference in Salt Lake City. The Choir has performed in many exciting venues, including a performance of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony in Smetana Hall in Prague and at Strathov Monastery in Prague Castle, the first Choir allowed to perform in the monastery in decades. The fabulous amazing spectacular Carol Stenson is their long standing director. South Salem took FIRST PLACE at Oregon's State Competition. This was their second song of four. This whole competition took place at George Fox University in Newburg Oregon. The South Salem Saxons also took first at their Districts festival in Salem/Keizer Oregon. The word 'vacilando' is Spanish, and refers to taking enjoyment out of the journey rather than focusing on the destination. As such, the Choir will take a more casual approach to Music-making, with fewer performances throughout the season than Òran, our young adult Choir. The group will still place an emphasis on all the things that make Kokopelli's Music-making unique, however: community, multiculturalism, choral excellence, and multifaceted performances.  less
