Die fließenden Rhythmen in Christina Georgina Rossettis Gedicht führen wie von selbst zu einer melodischen Vertonung. Die Sopran- und Tenorstimmen wechseln sich ab, indem sie jeweils die Melodie der Strophen 1 bzw. 2 singen, während die anderen Stimmen beschwingt und jazzig begleiten. Ein Tonartwechsel am Beginn der dritten Strophe, zusammen mit kanonischen Einsätzen in den Oberstimmen, steigert die Energie des Stückes zu neuen Höhen, das seine Krönung in einer sehr jazzigen Schlusskadenz findet. ______________________ http://www.helblingchoral.com/?pagename=product&product=C7677 The choral piece Birthday was composed in 2014 for Auckland-based a cappella group “Laudamus”. Our vision is to bring 'the joy of singing' .....and we see that on the faces of the people we engage with from all walks of life. We also put on a couple of variety conc...  moreWe are a Community Choir welcoming all voices! We love to sing at community events. Our vision is to bring 'the joy of singing' .....and we see that on the faces of the people we engage with from all walks of life. We also put on a couple of variety concerts each year raising funds for various needy causes.

Heartwood sings original arrangements of songs whose murky origins stretch back centuries and centuries, songs our grannies taught us and modern classics from the thriving contemporary folk scene.

Koruso!, meaning Chorus in Esperanto, began in October 2008 as a Southwark Council initiative to promote community cohesion. It has since grown from a small choral group to a self-run community Choir with a wide ranging repertoire, performing music that b...  moreKoruso!, meaning Chorus in Esperanto, began in October 2008 as a Southwark Council initiative to promote community cohesion. It has since grown from a small choral group to a self-run community Choir with a wide ranging repertoire, performing music that bridges cultures and unites faith traditions. The project won an ABC award in December 2009 at the Royal Society for the Arts and was cited by the judging panel as ”an excellent, innovative way of bringing people together through a shared passion for music”. Koruso! host performances at least twice a year and to date has performed at a variety of venues across its home borough and beyond. Members come from all walks of life and all across Southwark. We enjoy singing together every Thursday from 6:30pm at Oliver Goldsmiths Primary School, Peckham Road. New members are always welcome - particularly tenors and basses.  less
