In the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning ...  moreIn the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning 2 more gold medals in 'Grand Prix of Choral Music' the champions competed in, the Choir has come back to Turkey with a total of 5 gold medals. A fountain wher in this case the musical joy starts to spray it's joyful notes. The love for music and the willingness to reach a good Choir sound is the starting point of this ambitious group of amateur singers. The Choir members originate from different kind of choral background (close harmony, church Choir and oratorium Choir). Endora consists of 8 sopranos, 8 altos, 5 tenors and 5 basses.
