Marryatville High School's Special Interest Music caters for selected gifted students and students with Musical potential. Choral Music is an essential part of the Musical development of these students. the Concert Choir is an auditioned Choir of about 40.

the Surrey Children's Choir family represents 3 Choirs, a Junior Training Choir, an Intermediate Training Choir, and the Senior Surrey Children's Choir. the "family" also includes older levels, a treble Chamber Choir, a mixed young adult chorus...  morethe Surrey Children's Choir family represents 3 Choirs, a Junior Training Choir, an Intermediate Training Choir, and the Senior Surrey Children's Choir. the "family" also includes older levels, a treble Chamber Choir, a mixed young adult chorus, and a community adult chorus. the Junior and Intermediate Training Choirs (JTC and ITC) provide a program of sequentially developed skills which prepare choristers for admission into the Surrey Children's Choir. the training Choirs perform annually at the Family Christmas Concert and Year End concert (held in May of each year). they also often compete at the Fraser Valley Kiwanis Music Festival, always with great results. the training Choirs may also perform at various events in the community. the SCC, a treble-voice Choir of boys and girls aged 12-18 is a consistent gold medal winner at local festivals, hailed by Gerald Van Wyck, Vancouver Community College professor as "one of the best children's Choirs in Canada". these exuberant young vo...    less
