In 2024, Elektra expanded its embrace to welcome all adult treble voices, celebrating a diverse and gender-inclusive community of Singers. Cassie Luftspring was appointed as Elektra’s New Artistic Director in 2025 following Morna Edmundson’s departure at the end of the choir’s 38th season. Cassie brings her unique vision and expertise to lead Elektra into an exciting New chapter. Elektra is known for its brilliant programming and multidisciplinary initiatives, with collaborative artist Dr. Stephen Smith playing a pivotal role in their spellbinding performances. The Sierra Boys Choir is the New revival of the Sierra Boys Choir in the 1970s, which was active in the Reno/Sparks/Carson City area and directed by Stan Burke. When Mr. Burke joined the Mario Singers and left to move to Long Beach, CA, the choir was disbanded and a hole was left in the local arts and culture scene. The revival of the choir is a project (and passion) of Nathan Lundholm. Our goal is to provide musical and artistic opportunities to the boys while teaching them to be generous and thankful members of the local and global community. Our aim is to be fun and entertaining on many levels, from practices to shows, even to social events on the town. We put all volunteers through a background check, and we ask some degree of participation from parents. The Sierra Boys Choir is a 501c3 non-profit corp. We are a group of women singing a cappella four-part harmony music arranged in barbershop style. The style of singing is more 'pop' than Classical and the choice of music reflects this, with the repertoire including show-tunes, popular songs from the 1930...  moreWe are a group of women singing a cappella four-part harmony music arranged in barbershop style. The style of singing is more 'pop' than Classical and the choice of music reflects this, with the repertoire including show-tunes, popular songs from the 1930s to today, as well as classic barbershop arrangements. There are strong links to musical theatre in that most songs are choreographed, and performing skills are a key element in making a song work. We rehearse every Tuesday, 6:30pm-9:00pm, in central London between Kings Cross and St Paul's. These young people toget...  moreThe "Santa Maria" Choir is founded on November 21st, 1993, and arises from a group of Singers linked with the Parish of Santa Maria de la Estrella (Coria del Río) who decide to set up a Polyphonic Choir. These young people together with some pupils of the Newly created Conservatory of Coria (1991), begin to take part in numerous religious acts where they interpret authors' plays like To. Lotti, W.A. Mozart, J.A. García, J.S. Bach, G.F. Haendel, and so on. In 1995 the young Sergio Asián takes charge of the choir direction leading it to offering its first concert in June 1996. In the following years, from 1997 to 2000, the choir focuses its training on PLAAYS of the Middle Age and the Rennaisance managing to get an instrumental group that is added tO its name: “Instrumental Chamber and Chapel Santa María Choir” The popularity of the choir causes its increasing in members from 18 to 35 in a few years, forcing the group to change their musical style so that it leaves the inst...    less

It specializes in choral and early music—notably Renaissance, Baroque, and rarely heard repertoire—and is dedicated to delivering emotionally resonant, historically informed performances. Winner of the Chorus America/ASCAP Alice Parker Award, Crescendo invites choral Singers to audition for its 22nd season.This season, our repertoire spans 16th-century motets, works by Johann Sebastian Bach, and contemporary music in the Piazzolla style, featuring the U.S. premiere of Martín Palmeri’s A Jewish Cantata (2022). We Annually we perform two large concerts with professional soloists and orchestral musicians in Carlow, ‘Glory of Christmas’ in the National Concert Hall and annual ‘Christmas Crackers’ family concert in the George Bernard Shaw Theatre, Carlow. We have a remarkable repertoire of many choral works such as Handel’s Messiah, Bach’s St. Mathews & St. John Passion, Verdi’s Requiem, Haydn’s The Creation & Seasons, Brahm’s Requiem & many more.
