Tanto de meu estado me acho incerto,
Que em vivo ardor tremendo estou de frio;
Sem causa, juntamente choro e rio,
O mundo todo abarco e nada aperto.
É tudo quanto sinto um desconcerto;
Da alma um fogo me sai, da vista um rio;
Agora espero, agora desconfio,
Agora desvario, agora acerto.
Estando em terra, chego ao Céu voando,
Nua hora acho mil anos, e é de jeito
Que em mil anos nao posso achar ua hora.
Se me pergunta alguém porque assi ando,
Respondo que nao sei; porém suspeito
Que so porque vos vi, minha Senhora.

The Sierra Boys Choir is the New revival of the Sierra Boys Choir in the 1970s, which was active in the Reno/Sparks/Carson City area and directed by Stan Burke. When Mr. Burke joined the Mario Singers and left to move to Long Beach, CA, the choir was disbanded and a hole was left in the local arts and culture scene. The revival of the choir is a project (and passion) of Nathan Lundholm.
Our goal is to provide musical and artistic opportunities to the boys while teaching them to be generous and thankful members of the local and global community. Our aim is to be fun and entertaining on many levels, from practices to shows, even to social events on the town.
We put all volunteers through a background check, and we ask some degree of participation from parents.
The Sierra Boys Choir is a 501c3 non-profit corp. All donations and contributions are tax-deductible.

The style of singing is more 'pop' than Classical and the choice of music reflects this, with the repertoire including show-tunes, popular songs from the 1930s to today, as well as classic barbershop arrangements. There are strong links to musical theatre in that most songs are choreographed, and performing skills are a key element in making a song work.
We rehearse every Tuesday, 6:30pm-9:00pm, in central London between Kings Cross and St Paul's. We are always on the look out for enthusiastic and talented women so if you're interested in joining, do drop a line to hello@londoncitySingers.co.uk for details. less
