The Chorale is the premier, choral ensemble of the University. The ensemble consists of approximately 24-32 vocalists selected through a voice placement process and performs traditional/advanced choral literature from all periods. Students who have been...  moreThe Chorale is the premier, choral ensemble of the University. The ensemble consists of approximately 24-32 vocalists selected through a voice placement process and performs traditional/advanced choral literature from all periods. Students who have been active in choral ensembles in High School or college are encouraged to audition for this Choir. Auditions for Chorale can take place at anytime to fill necessary spots in the group. Once students are selected for Chorale, they are members until they choose to leave, are removed, or when they graduate. In addition to its regular Concert schedule, the Chorale tours each spring (Orlando, ’09; NYC, ’10; Atlanta, ’11, Boston, ’12, Orlando, ’13). A yearly scholarship is offered to people who are successfully placed in the group.  less

Recorded live on November 8, 2015, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Performed by the Lyric Choir and Concert Choir ensembles of the Girl Choir of South Florida (Artistic Director: Wallis Peterson) and the Concert Choir and Second Generation Singers ensembles of the Florida Singing Sons (Artistic Director: Brett Karlin). This performance was the closing song for the inaugural Choral Exchange between the Girl Choir and the Singing Sons. Choristers from both organizations spent an afternoon making music together, performing for and learning from each other, culminating in a performance for family, friends, and fans of both organizations.  less
