The chorale is from Northern California in the San Francisco Bay Area. We perform twice a year in April and November. The choir also travels internationally to such places as Canada, Italy, Hungary, Puerto Rico, Morocco, and Spain. Our goal when we travel is to collaborate with choirs from the region we are visiting and perform concerts together. Our repertoire ranges from Mozart to Ola Gjeilo to Eric Whitacre and many more.

The choir calls the Salt Lake Tabernacle, which houses an organ with 11,000+ pipes, home. The choir has won many awards, including an Emmy and Grammy award, sang for 10 US Presidents, and hosts the longest continual broadcast Music and the Spoken Word (which airs live every Sunday at 9:30am Mountain Standard Time). On October 26, 2020 the Tabernacle choir was named one of the top 10 choirs in the world by Britain’s CLASSICAL-MUSIC.  less

The choir’s repertoire of sacred music ranges from the 16th to the 21st centuries, including a recently commissioned and premièred work by Roxanna Panufnik. The choir sings to a cathedral standard every week at the Sung Eucharist on Sunday and Choral evensong every fourth Sunday. It also sings at special services during the year and goes on tour each summer. Recent tours have been to Bordeaux (2014). Dordodgne/Aquitaine (2013), and Rome (2011, 2012).  less

The Nidaros Cathedral Boys’ choir has over 900 years of rich history. It’s the main choir of Nidaros Cathedral which is located in the ancient capital of Trondheim, Norway. It’s also the main choir of Royal events. The choir will celebrate its 100 years of modern history in 2027 with a global tour. Current artistic director and conductor, Bjørn Moe - a former soprano in the choir, successfully reinvented the choir since joining as conductor in 1973. There are 100 members in the main choir, 70 sopranos/altos (9-15 years old) and 30 tenors/basses (15-68 years old). In addition, the mini-boys choir, has 40 boys ages 7-9.
