It was established on July 2013 by Music educator and conductor Mr. Aristeo B. Butial through the help of their principal Mr. Willy D. Federico and head teacher of MAPEH Department Mr. Emeterio S. Vargas Jr. It became one of the pillars of performing arts in the said school promoting culture and arts through choral Music. The establishment of the chorus is to build a platform for the youth to promote choral Music and realize their dreams, as well as to organize different cultural exchange activities to promote Music and serve the society. In the summer of 2011, HKVC held their debut concert “Sing Out a Dream” in the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall to raise funds to support the charitable work of the Lions Club of Central. In 2012, the chorus organized and performed five shows of a grand scale original youth choral Musical “Like. So?”. The Musical received positive comments and the chorus was even invited by renowned pianist Ms. Nancy Loo to an interview and performance in her RTHK 4 Radio Program “Cantilena”. Our repertoire is mainly classical a cappella but we have participated i...  moreWe started as as a group of former students of Helenes at The Stockholms Musikgymnasium but is now a completely Mixed group with many different backgrounds. We rehearse once a week. Our repertoire is mainly classical a cappella but we have participated in arena concerts with andrea Bocelli, Chess in concert, I Love Musicals, Zelda, Morricone and others. In 2016 we won the Cork Int Choral competition.

Open to anyone (age 8+ to adult) with a love of Musical theatre, the group works on excelling in Musical theatre singing, good vocal techniques and harmony work. Movement and/or acting plays a part, with plenty of opportunities for solo and small group singing if desired.
